Region

The Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot mountain chains are all within a 30-minute drive from anywhere in the greater Sandpoint area, including Ponderay, Clark Fork and Hope. Five riding areas spread between three mountain ranges, 275 miles of groomed trails, a cozy warming hut and available snowmobile guided tour outfitters combine to make the greater Sandpoint region a “must do” for your next snowmobile outing. The Sandpoint Winter Riders, a well managed and engaged snowmobile club and members of the Idaho State Snowmobile Association, oversee grooming to remarkable areas like Pack River and Canuck Basin, and manage the warming facility at  Moose Lake while state-licensed outfitter, Selkirk Powder, guides snowmobile tours and provides grooming from atop Idaho’s largest ski area.
