Known for its beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife, Harriman State Park lies within a 16,000-acre wildlife refuge in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Explore over 22 miles of hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails. Enjoy some of the best fly-fishing waters in the lower 48 and while you’re visiting, keep an eye out for moose, elk and Trumpeter swans. 

During winter, the park becomes a premier ski area with over 25 miles of groomed trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing.

Things to Know

  • The park is located within a geological feature called a caldera, the Henry's Fork Caldera.
  • Known as one of the best fly-fishing streams in the nation, the Henrys Fork meanders for eight miles through the park.
  • In the winter, Harriman is a premier Nordic ski area with over 24-miles of groomed trails for skate and classic skiing, snowshoeing and fat bike riding.
  • One and two-hour and half-day trail rides are available from June 1 through October 31.
